Some of you may recall that in 2018 the Allthreads community was invited and took part in the creating of an embroidery panel that is now one of the 87 panels in The Red Dress - a project conceived by British artist Kirstie Macleod, and which unites embroiderers from 51 countries.
The Red Dress is coming to Queensland and will be on exclusive display at the Warwick Art Gallery from 16th July for one week and at the Museum of Brisbane from the 25th July to 13th September 2026. Kirstie will be bringing the dress to and from Australia and will host some public events whilst she is in Australia.
To make this happen, we need your help. We need to raise funds to cover the airfares of Kirstie and the Red Dress to Queensland as well as to cover the exhibition costs. All donations no matter the size, will add up and enable us to achieve our goal.

It is exciting to think that the embroidery community in Australia will soon have the opportunity to see the Red Dress on display!
