Discover the reproduction of a French sampler stitched by Zéphirine in 1876.

This classically french sampler invites you to explore alphabets, a row of darning stitches and charming traditional motifs.

To give it a dynamic touch, I chose three different shades of red.

Made in Soie d'Alger on 40ct Zweigart linen, delicately dyed by Tabbycat Hand-dyes in Ashley Down, this sampler combines elegance and refinement. I also offer a conversion to DMC cotton threads for those who prefer this option.

size : 315 stitches x 301 stitches

The name Zephirine is of Greek origin and derives from the word “Zephyrus”, which designates the west wind in Greek mythology. Zephyrus was considered the god of the gentle spring wind, bringing mild weather and flowers. The name Zephirine therefore evokes connotations of gentleness, lightness and renewal, linked to spring. It's a rare and poetic name, often associated with a certain delicacy and artistic sensibility.
