More Information
We are offering an online workshop with Hazel Blomkamp of South Africa. This workshop will be held over 4 consecutive days on Saturday 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th June 2026 from 2.00pm to 6.00pm (QLD time).
The project to be taught in the workshop is Tiny the Tabby. Measuring 370 x 275mm (14.5" x 10.5") it is worked on a natural cotton/linen blend base. The design is featured in "Crewelwork Then and Now", Hazel's book collaboration with Phillipa Turnbull, published earlier this year. It is worked using contemporary techniques, cotton threads and glass beads.
Step by step instructions, along with colour images, diagrams and stitch guidelines are provided in the book. Classwork will be done on a doodle cloth with additional threads and beads. High resolution video clips for all the stitches and techniques that are taught in the workshop will be provided in the online private domain so that participants will be able to reference them after the event. Hazel will provide support as needed during the workshop.
Because of publishing contracts, participants in the workshop will be required to have the book.
A project kit will be supplied to students in advance of the workshop. Hazel will send this kit, in its entirety to Allthreads and will be available for posting or collection in mid-May.
