FAQ
Postal charges are calculated using Australia Post Distance charges for both domestic and international deliveries.
We are happy to accept orders of any size and therefore do not have a minimum or maximum charge for postage/delivery. All orders will be treated on an individual basis and standard Australia Post charges will be applied according to weight, size and destination. Please note that you will only be charged actual postage rates quoted and applied by Australia Post. There is no handling charge by us.
If you are ordering only one or two threads and they will fit in an envelope, please contact us and we can arrange for them to be posted that way and not in a satchel. Our website cannot differentiate between the items that will or will not fit in an envelope so if you are concerned about the postage you are being charged through the website, please contact us by email or phone.
Unfortunately we do NOT have control over Australia Post services so once a parcel is posted, we have no control over its delivery. If posted within Australia and as a parcel we will provide you with a tracking number so that you can contact Australia Post if it is not delivered in a timely manner.
Overseas orders are are tracked and we will supply you with a tracking number once the parcel has been posted. Customers can keep up to date with delivery through the Australia Post website. Customers are responsible for any fees/duties payable on arrival of your order. If the fees are not paid, or the item not claimed and it is returned to us as sender, there will be no refund given for postage.
Delivery Within Australia
All orders are sent by regular letter or parcel post by Australia Post. Orders over $85.00 (excluding frames and lights) are posted free of charge if sent ordinary mail.
If you require your parcel to be sent by Express Post please indicate this by choosing this option when ordering. Express Post are higher however delivery for Express Satchels and envelopes is usually 1 -2 days.
Registration and insurance are also available on request. Please indicate in the comments section of the form if you wish to use these options.
Higher charges will apply for these services and we will send a separate quote if these options are requested.
Free Post for Orders Over $85.00
We offer free post to customers within Australia for orders over $85.00. This excludes all items requiring courier delivery, such as but not limited to lamps, frames, and floor stands or any other large items at staff members discretion.
Express Post
Fees for Express Post are higher than those of regular parcel post. Express Post will deliver your pre-paid envelope or satchel the next business day if within the Express Post network.Refer to the Australia Post website for delivery details outside of this network.
Registered Mail and Insurance
For orders over $100.00, you may wish to consider insurance or registered Post. Whilst all care is taken in packing your order securely, we do not take responsibility for loss or damage during delivery.
Registered Post requires that you sign for your parcel and allows Australia Post to track lost parcels. The fee includes insurance up to $100.00. The cost of this service is an additional $2.35 per article.
Additional insurance may be purchased. Parcels must be registered to be insured. Cost is $2.35 for registered post and $1.10 per $100 or part thereof, in excess of $100.
International Delivery
All international orders are sent Airmail unless stated otherwise. Tracking and insurance is not included in this charge. If you require tracking and/or insurance please email us or put these instructions in the "Shipping INstructions" and we will arrange a quote and advise you of the costs. We will then send a separate invoice for the additional charges.
Economy Air Mail and Sea Mail offer additional savings for parcels up to 20kg to specified destinations, however this can delay delivery by several weeks for Economy Air and several months by Sea Mail. If you would like a quote for either service please specify in the Comments section and we will advise you by email before processing your order.
Your local customs service may require you to pay duties, fees, and / or taxes upon arrival of your order. You as purchaser is responsible for any applicable fees..
