This booklet by JBW Designs contains six antique alphabet samplers.
The 16 page booklet has black and white charts each on an A4 page with key and details on facing page. The designs are:-
Jane Forbes 1787 - printed 10 stitches to one centimetre and worked in one shade of Weeks Dye Works, two of Classic Colorworks and one of DMC over 181 by 125 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size);
Mary Wilson 1796 - with stylised flowers, worked in three shades of Weeks Dye Works and five of DMC over 79 by 136 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size);
Lucinda Hayward 1835 - printed 10 stitches to one centimetre and worked in one shade of Weeks Dye Works and one of DMC over 165 by 136 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size);
Red Marking Sampler 1850 - printed 10 stitches to two centimetres in a single shade over 108 by 109 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size);
Gracie Alvinna Ericson 1882 - May you live to see your great grandchildren - worked in a single shade over 101 by 140 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size);
Mary Ann Yundt - Stitched in red and cream over 188 by 183 stitches (Estimate Fabric Size).
There are DMC alternatives for all the floss and the models were worked on 28, 32 and 36 count linen.
