Kimberley tells us "The origins of this sampler are English. I purchased it however as it reminded me of Hale Farm, an area in Ohio referred to as the Western Reserve. I visited this wonderful village many times on family and school trips while growing up just south of it in Canton Ohio.
Stitch count: 3341 W x 438 H.
Model was stitched on 40 count Straw hand dyed linen from Weeks Dye Works. The model was stitched over two threads of linen using one strand of floss. The cross on top of the church is done in the Eyelet Stitch using Dk Antique Gold over 4 threads.
Design was stitched with hand dyed silks from Gloriana, Needlepoint Inc and Classic Colorworks Belle Soie.
