Quaker Schoolgirl Needle Necessities
Note from the designer - This sewing case, needlebook, and scissors sheath were inspired by the motifs of Ackworth School, a Quaker school in northern England, which was founded in 1779.
The models were stitched on 32 Ct Maple Sugar from Lakeside Linens, Inc. using one ply of Milady's Teal from Crescent Colours. DMC Cotton Perle #12, color 644 (to match the linen) was also used.
Stitches used: cross stitch and backstitch. Stitching directions, charts, and detailed assembly instructions are included. A short essay on Ackworth School and its needlework is also included.
