Tambour thread is a fine real metal thread that can be used for couching down other metal threads. It can also be used in combination with other embroidery threads for surface embroidery, counted thread embroidery, weaving and lace making to add sparkle.

It can be used for tambour work with a traditional tambour needle (available separately from us).

An alternative thread is Japan Thread # 1.
